Flockjay sells Salesforce on $11m series A

Flockjay, the US-based operator of a sales training academy, has raised $11m in a series A round that included Salesforce Ventures, the corporate venturing unit of US-based enterprise software provider Salesforce.

Venture capital firm E.ventures led the round, which also featured Lightspeed Venture Partners, Coatue, Y Combinator, Impact America, Cleo Capital and actress Gabrielle Union.

Founded in 2018, Flockjay provides training in technology sales with a focus on demographic groups traditionally underrepresented in the space. It will put part of the series A proceeds into developing its alumni networking services.

The company had previously received $3m from Lightspeed, Coatue, Y Combinator, F7 Ventures, SV Angel, Index Ventures and angel investors including Serena Williams, Will Smith, John Thompson, Liat Bycel, Paul Buchheit and Tom Willerer in October 2019.
