Canada-based contextual data technology developer Flybits received $6.5m in series B funding from investors including Robert Bosch Venture Capital, the corporate venturing arm of industrial product maker Robert Bosch.
The round was led by venture capital fund Information Venture Partners and included VC firm Portag3 Ventures and growth equity firm Trellis Capital.
Founded in 2013, Flybits produces software that helps make complex data more contextual, allowing businesses to market more precisely. The funding will support an increase in sales activity in the US and Europe, and the expansion of Flybits’ product and engineering teams.
Flybits has now raised $14m in total, it said. The company closed a $4.75m series A round in 2015 featuring Robert Bosch Venture Capital, Trellix Capital, Vodafone Ventures, the corporate venturing arm of mobile network Vodafone, Mars Investment Accelerator Fund and Ryerson Futures.
