Flypro Aerospace Tech, a China-based manufacturer of drones for use by filmmakers and photographers, has raised RMB80m ($12.4m) in a series A round led by conglomerate Yihua Group, Technode reported on Monday.
Flypro produces small drones that can fly autonomously, following a user at a preset distance and altitude while shooting stable, high-quality videos. The product is marketed at artists, sports and hobby enthusiasts.
The company’s latest product, XEagle, can be remotely controlled through a smartwatch. Flypro completed a crowdfunding campaign in February 2015, securing approximately $130,000 to begin production of its first drone, PX400.
