US-based mobile engagement technology startup FollowAnalytics raised $10m on Thursday in a series A round backed by Salesforce Ventures, enterprise software provider Salesforce.com’s corporate venturing unit.
The round, which was led by venture capital firm Aspect Ventures, also included Sapphire Ventures, the VC firm spun out of enterprise software company SAP, and VC fund Zetta Venture Partners.
Founded in 2013, FollowAnalytics has developed software that automates the engagement process for mobile marketing, using machine learning to translate data into intelligence that can be accessed by marketers through a platform that can be used to manage a variety of mobile campaigns.
FollowAnalytics had previously raised about $3.5m from investors including Sapphire and Zetta. It plans to use funding raised in the series A round to strengthen its sales and marketing capabilities.
