Foy joins UTA Ventures

Clinton Foy, former partner at venture capital firm Crosscut Ventures, has joined United Talent Agency (UTA) as a general partner for its corporate venturing unit.

Foy will work alongside Sam Wick, head of UTA Ventures, which has backed Masterclass, Cameo, Patreon, Cloud9, Pocket.watch, Radish Fiction and NTWRK among others.

At Crosscut Ventures, Foy’s deals had included Streamlabs, PlayVS, FitOn, Immortals and IGC.gg, which he co-founded and incubated.

His previously worked as chief operating officer of gaming company Square Enix.

Jeremy Zimmer, CEO at UTA, said: “UTA has ambitious plans to expand our footprint in the venture capital space, and Clinton will play a big role in taking us to the next level.”

Foy added: “UTA Ventures is a highly innovative group in the industry, which I have admired for some time.”
