Financial services group Fubon disclosed on Monday that its Fubon Life Insurance subsidiary will commit up to $65m to a fund being raised by US-based investment firm Tiger Global Management.
Fubon Life will acquire a 0.65% stake in Tiger Global Private Investment Partners XV Feeder Limited Partnership through the deal, having revealed another $65m commitment to Tiger Global Private Investment Partners IV in February this year.
Founded in 2001, Tiger Global invests in both private and public companies globally across diverse areas including internet, software, consumer and payments, focusing on the United States, China and India through offices in New York, Hong Kong, Beijing, Singapore and Bangalore.
The firm’s Tiger Global Private Investment Partners XII fund had received $50m from Fubon Life Insurance in January 2020.
Fubon Life also earmarked $65m for investment firm Clearlake Capital Group’s seventh vehicle last month, and has set aside the same amount for other funds being raised by Intermediate Capital Group, Insight Partners, Coatue Management and KKR.
