Daisy Garcia has left JetBlue Technology Ventures, part of US-based airline JetBlue Airways, to join another corporate venturing unit Prosperity7 Ventures, which invests on behalf of oil and gas supplier Saudi Aramco.

Garcia will work as an associate for the $1bn Saudi Araba-based fund.

Garcia spent two years at JetBlue Technology Ventures, as an investment analyst and senior analyst. The investments she worked on included Universal Hydrogen, an aviation manufacturer that is pioneering carbon-free flight.

Other JetBlue Technology Ventures investments include Beacon AI, a software development company capitalising on a future artificial intelligence-equipped co-pilot system to promote airline safety further.

Jetblue Airways is a $2.7bn organisation that specialises in low-cost flights, mainly in the United States. Founded in 1998, the commercial airline carries more than 42 million customers per year.

Prosperity7 Ventures, the venture capital fund of Aramco Ventures, was created in February 2022 by Aramco’s chief technology officer, Ahmad Al-Khowaiter, to build transformative companies and tackle global challenges.

Prosperity7’s most recent investment was in Hong Jing Drive, a China-based provider of computing solutions to propel autonomous driving vehicles.

Saudi Aramco is a $110bn public oil and natural gas corporation. It is ranked by Forbes as the fifth-largest company in the world, providing continuous energy materials to the globe.
