Ana Maury Aguilar and Ricardo Latournerie are senior investment analysts at AC Ventures (ACV), the corporate venturing unit of Mexico-listed beverage distributor Arca Continental.
Héctor Shibata, director of investments and portfolio of ACV, said of Aguilar: “Ana Maury has developed strong investment capabilities as VC investor which uses in the benefit of AC Ventures. Her ideas, motivation and eagerness to improve make her a great asset in the team.
“She is always looking for the next great innovation and finds ways to connect with the ecosystem. Also, she provides robust insights to the entrepreneurs partnering with them and assisting them to grow, and flourish. At the same time, Ana builds bridges inside the organisation to embed innovation in the processes and make it part of our culture.”
Prior to joining ACV in 2019, Maury was a mergers and acquisitions analyst at EY and investment analyst for investment advisory firm Alsis Funds and Fondo Bancomer, an investment vehicle of financial services firm BBVA.
Latournerie, on the other hand, had previously held external adviser and financial analyst roles at banking and financial technology group Ictineo and risk assessment firm Visor ADL’s Fintech Fund.
Regarding Latournerie, Shibata said: “Ricardo has consistently demonstrated a strong work ethic and high dedication since the beginning. He has proved as a valuable asset as a VC investor to the team by bringing to the table relevant opportunities, assist leading the investment process diligently, executing investment transactions and linking the portfolio companies in order to bring value to the corporation.
“He is driven, self-motivated and always eager to improve himself. Ricardo has a well-rounded background being previously entrepreneur and having worked in a fintech.”
