New York-listed industrial conglomerate General Electric (GE) has agreed to acquire FMC-Tech six months after the Ireland-based provider of real-time power line monitoring services received backing from its Ecomagination corporate venturing challenge.
GE invested $55m in 12 companies in November from its $200m Ecomagination competition.
