YJ Capital, the corporate venturing unit of internet services provider Yahoo Japan, has invested an undisclosed amount into Geniee, an advertising technology company.
In January, Geniee said it would partner with Yahoo Asia Pacific allow advertisers in south-east Asia to place ads in Japan.
Yahoo Japan is a joint venture between US-listed Yahoo and Japan-based internet and phone company Softbank.
Separately, US-based marketing intelligence software developer Aggregate Knowledge has raised its targeted $11.4m in its series D round, according to a regulatory filing.
Before this latest funding, the company had raised $34.5m from venture capital firm Kleiner Perkins Caufield & Byers, DAG Ventures, OVP Venture Partners and First Round Capital and Net Service Ventures (NSV), which operates a strategic fund-of-funds to provide large corporations an opportunity to invest in Silicon Valley’s top-tier VCs and super angels.
Last month, Aggregate Knowledge bought Quantivo for an undisclosed amount.
