Karen Rode has left General Electric’s healthcare corporate venturing fund to create private equity investment programmes at Hewitt EnnisKnupp, a subsidiary of insurance broker and consultancy firm Aon acquired in September.
Rode is now head of global private equity at Hewitt EnnisKnupp having previously been senior managing director of funds at GE Capital for nine years and co-head of the $200m GE Healthymagination corporate venturing fund. Healthymagination has only closed one deal since its launch, market sources said, although GE was unavailable to comment.
Hewitt EnnisKnupp has more than 35 clients with investments in and/or commitments to private equity of $35bn across its spectrum of asset classes.
