Glam Media finds ad partner

Glam Media, a US-based online advertising network, has acquired venture-backed peer AdPortal.

News provider AllThingsD said the purchase price was between $12m and $15m.

Sportgenic, formerly known as Active Athlete, owned AdPortal and had raised more than $10m in venture funding.

Glam Media has raised about $150m in venture funding from Burda Digital, the corporate venturing division of Germany-based publisher Hubert Burda that subsequently spun out to form Acton Capital Partners; Aeris Capital, the family office of SAP enterprise software company Klaus Tschira; and VCs Mizuho Capital, Draper Fisher Jurvetson, Accel Partners, DAG Ventures, Information Capital and Walden Venture Capital, according to news provider PEHub.

AdPortal will lead to the launch of GlamAdapt for Publishers, software to sells ads across multiple channels.
