Eyeota, a Singapore-based provider of advertising data management technology, has raised $7m in a series A round led by venture capital firm Global Brain.
Global Brain provided $3m for the round, which also included Infinity e.Ventures and Project A Ventures. Its represents the first investment that Japan-based Global Brain, which also manages funds on behalf of corporates including telecoms firm KDDI, has led outside its home country.
Founded in 2010, Eyeota works with publishers and advertisers to help them target and monetise their content more effectively. It claims to have 1.5 billion unique profiles gathered across Asia-Pacific, Australia, Europe and the Americas.
Eyeota has raised $10m to date and has offices in Berlin, Düsseldorf, London, Melbourne, Singapore, Sydney and Tokyo. It plans to use the funding to grow those teams, expand its technology development team and enter new territories.
