GO1 gets $40m in series C funding

Human resources provider Seek co-led a $40m series C round for US-based on-demand workplace training provider GO1.com on Monday with venture capital firm Madrona Venture Group.

The round also featured Salesforce Ventures and M12, which invested on behalf of enterprise software provider Salesforce and software producer Microsoft respectively, in addition to VC firm Our Innovation Fund.

GO1 has built an online library of professional training resources and courses that can be used by businesses to enhance the skills of their employees. It has integrated with Salesforce’s Trailhead learning system and remote collaboration platform Microsoft Teams.

The company’s website states it has 1.5 million registered users but it said this week that engagement has tripled over the past month as it has made all Covid-19 related content free to access.

The round increased GO1’s overall funding to at least $72.5m since it was founded in 2015. It received $21.3m in a March 2019 series B round funded by Seek, M12, Y Combinator and Larsen Ventures.

Seek led the company’s $7.2m series A round in 2018, following $3m from Blue Sky Venture Capital and existing backers Tank Stream Ventures and Steve Baxter in 2016. Zillionize and Oxford University are also existing investors.

Ronnie Fink, managing director of corporate development for Seek, said: “GO1 are leaders in helping employees to connect with upskilling and reskilling opportunities across a broad range of industries. We are pleased to support their growth as they continue to move into new markets and offer even more courses to workers.”
