GoFood, the food delivery subsidiary of Indonesia-based ride hailing service Gojek, has teamed up with partners including accelerator operator Digitaraya to launch a food-themed startup accelerator called Digitarasa.
Other members of the initiative are Edward Tirtanata, the co-founder and chief executive of coffee chain owner Kopi Kenangan, and chef Arnold Poernomo, the latter of whom will assume the CEO role at Digitarasa.
Gojek had already partnered Digitaraya to launch another accelerator, Gojek Xcelerate, in September 2019, whose latest cohort was focused on consumer goods.
Digitarasa will select four batches of participants this year, with the first group’s application closing on March 4 and the finalists being announced the week after. The accelerator will provide funding for the startups, and their services can be listed on Gojek’s app.
The participants will also be able to receive mentoring from food industry professionals, get introduced to prospective backers and partners, and showcase their products developed to consumers at a gastronomic event.
