GoFor Industries, the Canada-based last-mile logistics provider backed by building materials supplier Cemex, completed a C$20m ($15.7m) series A round yesterday led by venture capital firm Builders VC.
MetaProp, GroundBreak Ventures, Plug & Play Ventures and Panache Ventures also participated in the round, which pushed the company’s overall funding to approximately $23m.
Founded in 2016, GoFor operates a service that allows users such as online merchants to arrange deliveries on demand, using its software to match deliveries with drivers.
Builders VC also led a $7.2m seed round the company closed in June this year, investing with Cemex subsidiary Cemex Ventures, Plug and Play Ventures, Panache Ventures, Mucker Capital, I2BF Global Ventures and Capital Angel Network.
GoFor had previously raised about $370,000 from Panache Ventures and Capital Angels Network in June 2019, and will put the latest funding into an ongoing US expansion.
