The third cohort of on-demand ride hailing service Gojek’s Xcelerate accelerator has kicked off with nine consumer goods startups, TechInAsia has reported.
Gojek Xcelerate was formed in September 2019 with accelerator operator Digitaraya. Participants inthis batch will spend six months receiving guidance in areas such as consumer behaviour and winning customer trust for goods sold online, as opposed to in brick-and-mortar stores.
The initiative has so far coached 24 startups from seven countries. The first cohort focused on Indonesia-based machine learning startups while the second consisted of a group of women-led businesses from across the Asia Pacific region.
The startups in the latest batch include childcare equipment rental service Gigel, smart suitcase and bag manufacturer Sugar Technology, educational activity platform developer Kiddo and online cosmetics retailer Mad for Makeup.
Personalised skincare brand Callista, supply chain marketplace Etanee, poultry supplier Meyer Food, vegetable-tanned leather goods provider Pijak Bumi and locally-sourced footwear retailer Heiden Heritage made up the cohort.
