Blue collar-focused online recruitment service GoodWorker has invested Rs 2.5bn ($33.8m) in India-based migrant job search portal Pravasi Rojgar, Hindu Business Line has reported.
Pravasi Rojgar was launched in July this year by Bollywood actor Sonu Sood in partnership with online learning technology provider Schoolnet India.
The platform is intended to help migrant workers find employment and has already received 1 million registrations from jobseekers in addition to thousands from employers.
Pravasi Rojgar plans to expand into providing training and other services such as loans, savings and healthcare over the next decade.

“With digital transformation accelerating against the backdrop of the covid-19 pandemic, GoodWorker’s investment reflects our optimism towards trends in India that are underpinned by technology and digitalisation.”
