Google plus divide equals acquisition

Internet company Google has acquired Divide, a US-based developer of cloud systems that enable employees to use their own devices at work, for an undisclosed sum.

The acquisition has provided exits for Google Ventures, the corporate venturing arm of Google, Qualcomm Ventures, the corporate venture capital unit of communications company Qualcomm, and Comcast Ventures, the private venture capital affiliate of media company Comcast.

Qualcomm, Comcast and Google all invested in the company’s $11m series A round in 2011 and its $12m series B round in 2013. Divide, formerly known as Enterproid, also raised $2m from a 2010 seed round.

Harmony Partners, Globespan Capital Partners, NYC Seed, Genacast Ventures, BOLDstart Ventures and High Peaks Venture Partners also funded the company at seed stage.
