Google sees Ubersense exit

US-based sports training app Ubersense has been acquired by video analysis software Hudl for an undisclosed amount, providing an exit to Google Ventures, the corporate venturing unit of internet company Google.

Ubersense, which was founded in 2011, provides slow-motion video analysis for IOS and Android. Professional athletes and amateurs can use the app to track their progress over a period of time.

In the future Ubersense and Hudl will pair up to release more professional coaching content.

The company has raised $2.5m in funding, securing $1.1m in seed funding in 2012 from Google Ventures, venture capital firms Atlas Venture and Boston Seed Capital, and angel investors.

Ubersense won a $50,000 prize at the MassTech Challenge, a start-up accelerator funded by Microsoft, IBM, Verizon and others, in 2011.
