US-based search engine Google’s corporate venturing unit has reportedly invested $5m in virtual currency company Pocket Change.
Google Ventures was joined in the series A round by venture firms First Round Capital, Scott Banister, and Baroda Ventures, according to news provider TechCrunch
In November Pocket Change raised $1m in seed funding from investors Google Ventures, Baroda Ventures and First Round Capital, and angel investors Scott Banister, David Sacks, Mike Jones, Alan Braverman and Kamran Porzanjani.
