Wesley Chan, according to a Forbes news report has led more than 40 investments at the corporate venturing unit and was also responsible for the firm’s seed-stage investing programme. Kevin Rose and MG Siegler will now head up Google Ventures seed investing now that Chan is moving on.
Chan has now moved into the role of Entrepreneur in Residence at Google Ventures, according to the company’s web site. In his previous role, Wesley was a General Partner at Google Ventures where he led seed and early stage investments across enterprise and consumer software-as-a-service, mobile, and life sciences start-ups. While details of the new venture he plans to start up have not been made public at the time of writing, it would not be surprising for hime to attract backing from Google Ventures.
