Singapore-based ride-hailing service Grab has added $250m to its Indonesia-focused corporate venturing unit.
Grab Ventures, launched in June in Singapore under Chris Yeo’s leadership (pictured), said it would work with Indonesia’s Ministry of Communication and Information Technology (Kominfo) and its Creative Economy Agency (BEKRAF), as well Amazon Web Services and MDI Ventures, the corporate venturing unit of Telkom Indonesia.
Grab Ventures will invest in mobility, food, logistics, fintech startups and set up an accelerator, Grab Ventures Velocity, with applications closing on 10 September.
