Dell Technologies Capital (DTC), the corporate venturing arm of US-headquartered computing technology producer Dell, has hired Omri Green as a senior director and partner.
Formed in 2012, DTC focuses on startups specialising in enterprise and cloud infrastructure, investing about $200m a year. It has backed approximately 130 companies, including 14 valued at $1bn or higher.
DTC has tasked Green with identifying and backing early-stage developers of cybersecurity, DevOps, enterprise software and microchip technology across Israel and Europe. He had held a similar role at venture capital firm Grove Ventures having initially joined as a principal in 2017.
Green held board seats at Grove Ventures portfolio companies including immersive conferencing software developer CommonGround, cybersecurity group Deepchecks and NeuroBlade, which is developing artificial intelligence-equipped semiconductors.
DTC has already made numerous investments in Israel-based or founded companies, including cloud cybersecurity software provider Lightspin, data management platform developer Treeverse and Swish.ai, a producer of IT services automation software.
Scott Darling, president of DTC, told Calcalist: “As a technologist, founder and entrepreneur himself, Omri embodies those qualities. We are delighted to have him join Yair Snir, managing director and vice-president at DTC, in Israel and the rest of the global DTC team.”
Green added: “The DTC team represents the best of what venture capital can be to founders and ecosystems like the one we have here in Israel. I have been impressed by how founder-centric the team is and that they understand these businesses at a fundamental level.”
