Venture capital firm C Ventures led the round, which included hedge fund manager Hillhouse Capital and applied data intelligence-focused VC fund Linear Capital.
Founded in 2015, GritWorld provides computer vision technology that utilises game rendering techniques to help digital animators create content more efficiently. It will channel the funding into improving its smart rendering and digital modelling technology.
The company had previously received an eight-figure renminbi amount (RMB10m = $1.4m at contemporary rates) in a December series A round led by Linear Capital that included Sparkly Key.
