Ingresse, a Brazil-based online event ticket retailer backed by mobile semiconductor technology producer Qualcomm, has secured R$90m ($21.7m) from investors including mass media group Grupo Globo, Terra has reported.
Event management and promotion platform developer Rival also participated in the round, as did Endurance Partners and e.Bricks Ventures.
Ingresse operates an online platform where users can discover and book tickets for live events such as gigs, theatre and nightclubs. The cash has been earmarked for strategic acquisitions, the addition of new features to the platform and the establishment of a credit line for event promoters.
Qualcomm joined e.Bricks Ventures and DGF Investimentos to provide $4.3m in funding for the company in 2014, and e-commerce company MercadoLibre, Confrapar and FJ Labs for a $6.2m round in March 2018 through subsidiary Qualcomm Ventures.
