GuestDriven, formerly known as MConcierge Systems, captures data about customers and guests and uses this information to enable personalised experiences. The data is also used to provide an overview of guest behaviour trends and industry performance.
Investors in this round include Plaza Ventures and Structure Capital. Real Ventures also reinvested into the company. GuestDrive received $3m in a seed round in April 2011.
Anthony Zebrowski-Rubin, chief executive at GuestDriven said, “We’re very excited to have received this support from experienced technology investors and leading travel industry executives. With this funding we’re able to grow the platform further, providing an even greater experience to our current customers and guests and expanding into the leading hospitality brands in international markets.”
The funding will be used to enhance and build upon the GuestDriven mobile guest engagement platform. The service is already in use in 115 properties around the world where it allows hoteliers to provide useful and relevant local tips, recommendations and perks to loyal guests right to their smartphone or tablet.
“After working with the GuestDriven solution, I was impressed with the level of personalisation data that the platform provided us – and the immensely positive feedback on the mobile experience from our guests” said Tom Botts , executive vice-president at Denihan Hospitality.
Joining the board of directors are Jesse Kaplan from Plaza Ventures, Tom Botts from Denihan Hospitality, Joe Poulin from Luxury Retreats, John Stokes from Real Ventures and Tony Cohen from Global Edge Investments and Crescent Hotels & Resorts.
