Google Ventures (GV), the corporate venture arm of US-based conglomerate Alphabet, has promoted three staff members to investment partners.
Karthik Ardhanareeswaran and Sherry Chao will focus on life sciences and therapeutics investments. KJ Sidberry will invest in early stage consumer products.
The promotion comes after GV’s recent surge of promotions and unit reshufflings. Notable changes include Ruth Porat accepting a new position to oversee and manage GV in July 2023.
Founded in 2009, GV invests in enterprise, life sciences, consumer and frontier technology sectors. The firm has 354 companies in its portfolio and has invested in over 1,100 startups including Flutterflow, CoRover and Layer Health.
