US-based healthcare comparison company WiserTogether has received $9m in series B funding from investors including Merck Global Health Innovation Fund, the corporate venturing investment affiliate of healthcare company Merck.
Venture Capital firms Martin Ventures, Grotech Ventures, Harbert Venture Partners and 7Wire Ventures, and private equity firm Blue Heron Capital were also involved.
WiserTogether provides an online healthcare treatment comparison tool that enables users to compare personal, financial and clinical factors to find the most effective treatment outcome. The funds will be used to scale the company’s operations and expand its customer base.
Shub Debgupta, chief executive of WiserTogether, said: “With the addition of Merck GHI and Martin Ventures and our existing investors, WiserTogether is thrilled to have some of the smartest and most sophisticated investors from every major category of the healthcare industry represented and working together to achieve our exciting vision.”
WiserTogether had previously raised approximately $6.7m in funding, according to SEC filings.
