India-based digital fitness coaching app developer HealthifyMe has raised $6m in a series A round led by IDG Ventures India, the local venture capital affiliate of media company International Data Group.
Inventus Capital and Blume Ventures also participated in the round, which follows an undisclosed amount of funding from mobile handset manufacturer Micromax and a host of angel investors in June 2015.
The HealthifyMe app allows users to track and plan their diet and fitness, while providing access to nutritionists and dieticians who can answer health-related questions.
HealthifyMe had previously raised $250,000 in a 2012 angel round. It also graduated from Microsoft Ventures India’s accelerator initiative in 2014.
