GE Ventures, the corporate venturing vehicle for industrial conglomerate General Electric, led a $10.8m series A round for US-based healthcare technology producer HealthReveal on Thursday.
The round also featured Manatt Ventures, the venture capital arm of law firm Manatt, Phelps & Philips, as well as VC firms Greycroft Partners and Flare Capital Partners.
HealthReveal has created a cloud-based clinical analytics platform that aims to predict and mitigate potentially life threatening medical issues in patients with chronic conditions.
The software continuously monitors and analyses a patient’s status, taking into account clinical, biometric and operational data, and offers real-time personalised interventions.
Lisa Suennen, senior managing director of healthcare investing at GE Ventures, said: “HealthReveal has the potential to transform our ability to combat chronic disease.
“This is an exciting opportunity to combine personalised digital information with a business model that allows patients and their doctors to make better and earlier decisions to preserve and maintain their health.
“HealthReveal’s management team has succeeded in this area before and now has more advanced tools to execute at an even more profound level.”
