US-based enterprise software developer Heap secured $55m yesterday in a series C round that included Deutsche Telekom Capital Partners, the corporate venturing arm of telecommunications firm Deutsche Telekom.
The round was led by venture capital firm NewView Capital and also featured Maverick Ventures, Triangle Peak Partners, Alliance Bernstein Private Credit Investors, Sharespost, Menlo Ventures, New Enterprise Associates (NEA), Initialized Capital and Pear VC.
Heap provides software that is used by more than 6,000 enterprise clients to automatically collect, map and analyse customer behaviour data sourced from mobile apps and websites.
In addition to funding international expansion, the series C capital will be used by the company to expand its product, engineering and go-to-market teams.
Menlo Ventures and NEA co-led the company’s $27m series B round in May 2017, investing alongside Initialized Capital and Pear VC. It had previously received $11m in a 2016 series A round led by NEA that included the rest of the series B participants together with SV Angel.
Enterprise software producer Salesforce, talent agency William Morris Endeavor, e-commerce company Netprice, SV Angel, Y Combinator, Redpoint Ventures, RTA Capital and various angel investors had provided $2m of seed capital for the company in 2013.
