Heap to get bigger with $11m series A

Heap, the US-based, corporate-backed developer of an analytics platform for online businesses, secured $11m yesterday in a series A round led by venture capital firm New Enterprise Associates.

The round included Menlo Ventures and contributions from “many” of Heap’s seed investors, with the company naming SV Angel, Initialized Capital and Pear, the VC firm formerly known as Pejman Mar Ventures.

Founded in 2013, Heap has built an analytics platform that automatically captures all app and website user interactions upfront and automates as much of the process as possible in order to make the process more efficient for users.

Heap will use the funding to boost its headcount and carry on executing its product roadmap.

The company raised $2m in a 2013 seed round featuring enterprise software firm Salesforce.com, talent agency William Morris Endeavor, SV Angel, Netprice, Y Combinator, Redpoint, RTA Capital and assorted angel investors.
