Cleveland HeartLab, a heart testing company which span out from US-based healthcare company Cleveland Clinic, has raised $14.7m in its series B round led by venture capital firm Mutual Capital Partners.
Alongside Mutual Capital, whose fund investors are executives from US companies, in the B round were VC peers Excel Medical Ventures and HealthCare Ventures and the Cleveland Clinic.
In August last year, Cleveland HeartLab raised $18.4m in venture funding from lead investors Excel and Healthcare. Cleveland HeartLab span off from Cleveland Clinic in 2009. In 2010, Cleveland HeartLab received $3m from Glengary, Zapis Capital Group and Second Generation, according to news provide Xconomy.
