US-based e-commerce aggregation platform HeartThis has raised $2m in seed funding from investors including Google Ventures, the corporate venturing arm of internet company Google, TechCrunch has reported.
Seed-stage venture capital firm Freestyle Capital led the round, which also included 500 Startups, Founder Collective, Social Starts, Tekton Ventures, Tom Moss and Karl Jacob.
Founded in 2013, HeartThis combines more than 330 retailers including department stores Dillard’s, Nordstrom, Kohl’s, J Crew, Target in a single app, which users can customise with details concerning their favourite shops or types of clothing.
The app had accumulated 250,000 active users by the end of 2014, and skews to an older female demographic than many other shopping aggregation apps.
