Japan-based human resources, sales and marketing firm Hito-Communications (Hito-Com) formed a ¥1bn ($9.2m) corporate venturing vehicle yesterday.
Founded in 1998, Hito-Com provides full-time and temporary staffing services for corporate clients. It also offers employee training programs and outsourcing projects.
The fund, the name of which can be translated as Hito-Com Marketing Future Creation Fund I, will concentrate on investments in marketing, sales and e-commerce-related technology developers.
Hito-Com also plans to establish strategic partnerships with portfolio companies to create business synergies. The unit has aready made its first investment, providing an undisclosed sum for AdInte, the Japan-based retail data analytics technology producer previously known as Willie Mobile.
