Hoffman began her stint at Ørsted in 2018 starting as a senior business developer and project leader for the offshore innovation group. She has since worked in various positions such as head of innovation and lead business developer.

Founded in 2006 as Dong Energy, Ørsted’s portfolio companies included energy data platform Autogrid, later acquired by automation and energy management group Schneider Electric, and electric vehicle charging network Volta, which went public on the New York Stock Exchange.

Ørsted is a multinational power company and is Denmark’s largest energy corporation. The firm has shifted from distributing oil and gas to producing renewable energy through offshore wind power, and it is the largest developer of wind farms globally.
