HookLogic claws in $15.5m

US-based marketing company HookLogic secured $15.5m yesterday in a series C round backed by investors including Intel Capital, the corporate venturing subsidiary of semiconductor technology producer Intel.

Venture capital firm Fung Capital, family office Mousse Partners and Bain Capital Ventures, the venture capital division of private equity firm Bain Capital, also took part in the round.

HookLogic has created a marketing platform that integrates native search advertising into a network of 160 e-commerce sites spanning 69 countries. It revealed the funding at the same time as the sale of its automotive-focused AutoHook division to automotive analytics provider Urban Science.

Intel Capital previously led HookLogic’s $14.3m series B round in 2013, which also featured Bain Capital and angel investor Michael Barrett. Bain initially provided the company’s $9.5m series A funding in 2011.
