HP Tech Ventures, the strategic investment subsidiary of IT technology provider HP, has committed an undisclosed amount of capital to US-based virtual reality-focused VC fund Venture Reality Fund.
Venture Reality Fund makes investments in virtual reality, augmented reality and mixed reality technology developers.
In addition to HP Tech Ventures, the fund’s partners include public relations firm PMBC, game publishers Youzu Interactive, Colopl, YJM and Gumi, and Sinclair Digital Ventures, the corporate venturing subsidiary of media company Sinclair Broadcast Group.
Marco DeMiroz, co-founder and general partner of Venture Reality Fund, said: “HP has a rich history of delivering innovative technology and was an early believer in the vast potential for mixed reality to transform consumer and commercial markets.
“We are excited to have HP Tech Ventures as a key investor in our fund and look forward to working closely with their team to introduce new applications for corporate innovation and productivity while enhancing the customer experience and product development.”
