HunterOn bags $30m in series C funding

China-based online recruitment platform HunterOn has secured RMB200m ($30m) in a series C round featuring IDG Capital Partners, the local venture capital affiliate of media company International Data Group, China Money Network reported today.

The round was led by UOB Venture Management, the VC subsidiary of Singapore-headquartered financial services firm United Overseas Bank.

HunterOn helps recruiters and headhunters with qualified candidates through a website and mobile app. It serves some 30,000 companies and will use the funding to expand in the finance, healthcare and consumer industries.

The company also intends to launch an app that will enable senior managers to send their information to headhunters, who are chiefly responsible for senior-level recruitment in China.

HunterOn has now raised about $60m since it was founded in 2012. IDG Capital and China Growth Capital provided $10m in series A funding in 2014 before IDG combined with Sequoia Capital for a $20m round seven months later.
