One of the corporate venturing units of US media company International Data Group (IDG) has reportedly invested$20m in two China-based companies.
IDG has invested $10m in China-based mobile advertising company iMedia, according to news provider Zero2IPO. Zero2IPO did not specify which part of IDG had invested in iMedia, but IDG Capital Partners is the China affiliate of the company.
The other $10m investment in luxury goods website Secoo.com transaction was a series A round, Zero2IPO said. Secoo.com’s sales revenue was more than RMB30M in 2010 and was expected to hit RMB200M in 2011, Zero2IPO said.
