IDG steers cash to ParkMe

ParkMe, a US-based provider of database and analytics software for parking locations and availability, has raised an undisclosed amount in its series B round from a consortium including publisher International Data Group’s (IDG) local corporate venturing unit.

Alongside IDG Ventures in the syndicate were private equity firm Angeleno Group, which led the round, and venture capital firm Fontinalis Partners, which was founded by car maker Ford’s chairman, Bill Ford.

Then-known as Parking In Motion, in September 2011 ParkMe closed its A round at an undisclosed amount from IDG Ventures and Fontinalis Partners.

IDG Ventures is a global network of venture capital funds with approximately $6.8bn under management and a portfolio of more than 220 companies built over the last 15 years.
