Axel Springer Digital Classifieds, the company founded by the eponymous Germany-based publisher and private equity firm General Atlantic, has bought a majority interest in Belgian property portal Immoweb.be for €127.5m ($164m).
Christian Rousseaux, Immoweb chief executive, will continue in his role following the takeover and keep the remaining 20% share, alongside two other family members.
General Atlantic helped launch Axel Springer Digital Classifieds in March, picking up a 30% stake in the business for €237m.
