India-based mobile advertising network InMobi launched a $25m fund called Game On yesterday that will invest in indie game developers.
The fund will not be a traditional venture fund. Instead, developers can sign up for the service, send InMobi traffic and realise revenue.
InMobi will provide advisory services involving scaling, monetisation and advertising experience creation as part of a strategy to help the developers increase their app revenue.
Founded in 2007, InMobi has raised $215m from investors, including $200m that was invested by telecommunications company Softbank in 2011.
Developers will be able to enrol in the programme through the end of 2014.
