Innocentive, a US-based crowd-sourcing platform backed by pharmaceutical group Eli Lilly, has raised $5.1m of a planned $7.5m round, according to a filing with the Securities and Exchange Commission.
Innocentive raised $7.3m in 2009 in series B financing taking its total raised to $22.8m at that time, according to new provider Mass High Tech.
It was backed by private equity firm Spencer Trask, venture firm Omidyar Network and Eli Lilly & Co, Mass High Tech said.
