Innovid chases online eyeballs with $9.5m

The corporate venturing unit of Germany-based telecommunications company Deutsche Telekom has helped Innovid, a US-based video advertising platform, raise $9.5m.

The company makes video adverts used in a range of on-line publications, and has worked on adverts for the films Cars 2 and Kung Fu Panda 2 as well as for companies including Coca-Cola and Audi.

As well as T-Venture, the series B funding round was also backed by Sequoia Capital and Genesis Partners.

It followed Innovid raising a series A round last year at $4.1m from a consortium including the corporate venturing division of Germany-based phone company Deutsche Telekom. T-Venture, along with Israel-based venture capital firm Genesis Partners, provided the funding to Innovid.

Genesis provided a $3m seed investment in March 2008.
