US-based semiconductor company Intel’s corporate venturing unit has helped Trigence Semiconductor, a Japan-based maker of a digital audio signal processing technology, raise an undisclosed sum.
With the investment from Intel Capital, Trigence Semiconductor will expand integration of Dnote® to computing devices, including Intel® Architecture-based PCs, UltrabookTM, and smartphones, and also expects to expand its LSI and licensing businesses.
Kazumasa Yoshida, a president of Intel, said: "We are excited about the innovative idea and technical excellence of Trigence’s technology that will enhance the value of audio technology and user experience to the next level. We expect this technology will bring an innovative high fidelity experience to the wide variety of digital devices such as PCs, UltrabookTM and smartphones."
