Keith Larson, vice-president and managing director of semiconductor and data technology producer Intel’s corporate venturing subsidiary, Intel Capital, has plans to retire later this year.
Larson joined Intel Capital in 1996 and is currently one of five voting executives on the investment committee that is responsible for approving all the unit’s investments. During his time at Intel the firm nearly quadrupled its annual revenue from about $20bn in 1996 to $70.8bn in 2018.
Prior to joining Intel, Larson had been a general partner at venture capital firm InterVen Partners for years up to 1994, having previously been a chief financial officer and controller at First Interstate Capital. He also sits on the board of directors for steel pipe products manufacturer Northwest Pipe Company.
Wendell Brooks, president of Intel Capital and chairman of the GCV Leadership Society, said: “Keith has had a long history of finding the best investments for Intel Capital, and we appreciate his many contributions.
“He has left a great legacy not only in investments but also in the people he’s developed. We will miss him and wish him all the best in his retirement.”
