Intel pumps up Minha Vida

US-based chip-maker Intel’s corporate venturing unit helped Minha Vida, a Brazil-based health and wellness website, raise an undisclosed sum yesterday.

Intel Capital was joined in the round by Catalyst, an investment fund created by impact investor Endeavor. Minha Vida was first backed by Endeavor in 2009.

The company founded in 2004, said it attracts more than 8 million unique users a month and has more than 14 million registered users.

David Thomas, managing director for Intel Capital in Latin America, said: "With the significant inflow of new Internet users in Brazil, the online health and wellness sector is a promising market for entrepreneurs in this region."
