Collecting data is one of the cornerstones of what Global Venturing does. Staying informed about which corporates are investing in which areas, who is opening new funds and how much is being invested into which sectors is key to what we do. It keeps us at the cutting edge of corporate innovation; it gives us robust annual data about investment trends, and the goods to back up what we say. We have always found the data we collect to be valuable internally, and we regularly produce analysis pieces which take a closer look at what we find. However, we’ve struggled to find a way to bring that database to our readers in a way that lets them explore at their own pace.
Until now.

Today we are excited to introduce a new Global Corporate Venturing feature — a fully searchable corporate venture deals database for the year 2023 to date. Our tables for now are split month by month (and will continue to be collected and published monthly), and include details of every deal that involved a corporate venture fund within that month. You can see who got investment, who invested (and alongside who), when the deal took place, the round, the size of the deal, and more.
Wondering if SoftBank did any deals in July? You can easily find out (they did – a total of eight). How many deals in renewable energy took place in June? A quick filter tells us it was nine. You can take a deep dive into a sub-sector like artificial intelligence and see exactly who is investing in it, and how much. There are lots of things to look at and explore – we hope you find it as interesting and as useful as we do.
Take a look at July’s deals, and explore the rest of the deals of 2023 so far.
The newly formatted tables are still being polished, so if you spot something out of place – or have any suggestions or ideas – please let us know.
